UltraFTP 2025.0 expands what you can accomplish with direct server administration capabilities and modernized secure transfer protocols.

Direct server administration with SSH/Telnet console

UltraFTP now includes an integrated SSH console for direct command-line server access. This eliminates the need to switch between separate applications for file transfers and server administration.

Configure SSH/Telnet connections the same way you set up FTP accounts, then connect with a single click. The console provides the same terminal interface you’d use in a standalone SSH client, integrated directly into your file transfer workflow.

Combined workflow benefits:

Upload files via FTP, then immediately switch to the SSH console to set permissions, restart services, or verify deployment. No need for re-authenticating or opening separate tools.

Or work in reverse: prepare your server environment via SSH, then transfer files using FTP, streamlining tasks that previously required switching between multiple applications.

Updated FTP support and protocols

UltraFTP receives comprehensive FTP protocol enhancements:

  • ECDSA support: ecdsa-sha2-nistp256, nistp384, nistp512
  • RSA SHA-2: rsa-sha2-256, rsa-sha2-512
  • ED25519 compatibility improvements
  • Modern ciphers: chacha20-poly1305

These updates provide broad compatibility with modern server standards while maintaining backward compatibility with existing accounts through legacy fallback.

Now with integrated cloud functionality from popular cloud service providers.

UltraFTP 2023.0 is now released and it now supports cloud services natively! With this update, you can now upload files, download files, create folders and files, and the like directly within UFTP.

With new cloud integration, you can now access all your cloud-saved files inside a single application. For instance, if you have multiple cloud accounts or you haven’t mounted all your cloud profiles in your desktop, you would have to manually log in for each. But with this new feature, you can use UFTP as a hub to access all your files from any cloud service.

UFTP 2023.0 currently supports the following cloud services:

  • Google Drive
  • Microsoft OneDrive
  • Amazon S3
  • Dropbox

These four services are currently supported but if you have a specific cloud service that you would like to work with UFTP, please let us know using this email.

You can initialize cloud integration by creating an account just as you would for a normal FTP protocol. Add a new account using the Account Manager, select Cloud Storage for protocol then select your desired cloud service. A browser login prompt should pop up. Input your cloud account and you should be all set,

Featuring ease of use and quality of life improvements

UltraFTP 2025.0.0.11 is a quality-focused release. The highlights for this release are focused on improving existing functions or adding some new small but nifty options. Update now to the latest version to benefit from these updates.

Improved per session UI state and folder sync

The user interface’s overall performance has now been improved. Multiple changes on the backend now manifest as snappier and responsive interfaces. Users will also notice that the client will show updated information on ongoing transfers.

Folder sync’s performance has likewise been improved—it is now slightly faster and responsive than on previous versions of UFTP.

Streamlined multi-window and sessions

When running multiple sessions or instances of UFTP, the corresponding file transfer windows will now remember sizes.This allows you to freely adjust sizes for independent windows without having to reconfigure them. Sizes are remembered.

Upgraded encryption protocol library

UltraFTP has updated its support for different types of keys with the latest encryption standards. This includes improved TLS 1.3 support which provides compatibility for a broader range of servers and encryption standards.

Other quality of life tweaks in v2025.0.0.11:

  • New option to unhide password field on input
  • New option to send deleted files/folders to Recycle Bin
  • Remaining files counter added for transfers
  • Added ESC keyboard shortcut to cancel outgoing FTP transfer
